Open to the public are the following research areas:

Countries: This area covers history, rates, and routes by country. Article citations are annotated. Links to scans of documents are restricted to library personnel. You can request a document from the list by calling the library, 814-933-3803, ext. 241, or by emailing Marsha at mgarman@stamps.org.

Subjects: This area is an alphabetical listing of various philatelic subjects. It does not cover countries, rates, or routes, as they are listed under the Countries tab of this website. By clicking on the subject of interest, you will land on a page of titles of books or articles pertaining to the subject area. Most titles are annotated unless the title itself is explanatory. This is not a comprehensive list of the subject matter that is available in the library. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please contact Marsha with your request. Research Guides: This is a work in progress. Each topical guide will include an annotated list of resources held at the APRL and suggestions for searching your subject online through our library catalog, which you can access through our APS website.
